Tech, tunes, and turning AI disruption into opportunity
Christine Kahn · Published July 2, 2026
Widespread layoffs in tech inspired me to build something that’s mine. So I started a podcast, Dreams and Delivery, talking to fellow tech pros and creatives.
I’m Christine, a Staff TPM by day and a musician by night. Big tech gave me a career, but watching wave after wave of layoffs made me want something that was mine, something no re-org could touch.
That’s what sparked Dreams and Delivery, a podcast where I talk with tech pros who excel in their day jobs while building something of their own — income streams, creative practices, second acts that don’t depend on someone else’s headcount decisions. In episode 6, xMailChimp Engineering Manager Lawrence Ma told me AI let him do in three weeks what used to take a team of four engineers two months, and it's stuck with me since.
The irony isn’t lost on me: the same AI reshaping tech careers is what let me build this myself, fast. Claude helped me shape scripts and plan episodes. GitHub stood up the website. Descript handled edits. Buzzsprout got it hosted and distributed. What used to require a small production team, I did solo.
But the tools were never the point. The best part has been the conversations themselves, the people I’ve met and the ways their stories have pushed my own thinking about what a career and a life can look like.
The show hit 100 downloads the first month, and I’ve got the rest of season 1 recorded and ready to go.
